Getting my first real live look at Joshua Brown (Portage H.S. 2030). He definitely looks to be one of the best incoming freshman guards in the state. Really smooth outside shooting stroke and a willing playmaker off of the bounce. He’s playing well this afternoon.

Deshawn Clay Jr. (Gary West Side H.S. 2029) has been excellent so far in this one. He has excellent footwork on the perimeter and can really shoot. The 6’2” guard has knocked in a couple 3’s and jumped a passing lane for a pick-6 layup. Love his two-way upside.

DeShawn Clay Jr. (Gary West H.S. 2029) just had a great stretch for Meanstreets 15u. The 6’2” guard buried a corner catch-and-shoot 3, attacked a closeout for an And-1, and assisted from the high post versus a zone defense. Skilled young guard with a lot of upside.

Prentiss Gates (Gary West Side H.S. 2029) blocks shots as a freshman the way Isaiah Hill blocked shots as a freshman…and that was the best I’d seen in Indiana in 15 years. The 6’8” lefty for Meanstreets 15u is SPECIAL on that end of the floor. Just finished a rim run dunk too.
