Or NCAA can do the right thing and avoid penalties to the athletes. Just ban Texas Tech from playoffs and allow the school to let him play since thatās what they want. Make the school responsible and decide what they value more.
If NCAA appeal(s) fail, despite all their bluster & threats, no Big 12 school will boycott playing Texas Tech because it would cost league/schools financially by not playing. Also is every team going to forfeit, allowing Tech a free pass to playoffs? Ugh, no freaking way

Sorsby Attorney Jeffrey Kessler: "It is a just result. Brendan gets to devote himself to his team and the education of athletes on the dangers of gambling addiction. He will continue his treatment, miss two games, and there is no injury to the competitive integrity of the NCAA. It is what we proposed and what the NCAA should have accepted had it been true to its promises to prioritize the welfare of athletes."

I donāt support this one. Clear rules violated with clear consequences. Gets waived cause he loses his money; really wanting to clarify that tone of actions do not have consequences if you have connections or money in 2026. Great way to open Pandoraās box for more issues.
