I knew Hassan Yassin, a friend of a lifetime and a companion on the path, and in him I came to know the rare human being who combines wisdom and kindness, depth of thought and lightness of spirit.
May God have mercy on him, he was a man of great heart, generous in his feelings before his giving, present with his smile and his cheerful spirit even in his most difficult circumstances. His words were never fleeting; rather, they carried the thoughts of a far-sighted man who reads life with the awareness of the sage and the contemplation of the thinker.
And deep within him remained the authentic Arab: chivalry, loyalty, manliness, and pride in the noble values by which he lived and never abandoned for a single day.
May God have mercy on Hassan… In him I lost a lifelong friend, and his beautiful memory remains defiant against absence
