Most pediatric forearm fractures can be treated non-op with closed reduction & cast immobilization. Studies show short arm casts for distal both bone forearm fractures are as effective as long arm casts.

A Trendelenburg gait is caused by gluteus medius weakness. Gluteus medius is innervated by L5. Therefore a L5/S1 far lateral disc herniation could cause this condition.
