I once interviewed for a job that “required 5 years experience and a degree”, had 3 more interviews & they offered me the job for $40K less than I told them my required salary. When I declined they yelled at me. This is a reminder to stop wasting time and post the salary up front

Basically, I’m telling you - in this world older generations like to frame it as laziness to shame you.
But you only get one life to live. Don’t take jobs that don’t value your work life balance.
Yes, work and work hard. But don’t make work the end all be all to your life.

There’s a number of things that are not in your favor. Don’t feel guilty about not making them your values:
You are often just a business decision to a job. Best case scenario they care about you, but at the end of the day, you’re a number.
And that’s okay. That’s life.

In my entire life, there are very few problems I didn’t bring on myself.
I can maybe count on one hand the number of bad things that happened to me that I truly didn’t deserve.
It’s fascinating to me the number of people who are always victims no matter what the situation is.
