Bike also confirmed safe after delays in comms from insurance so had major stress subsided, can just focus on rest and recovery now, tho still no pain relief ._.
Still a long 12 weeks ahead even after I get released though, not looking forward to it during full summer weather

Lil update, physio being delayed too much after full blackout during earlier and moving back to other hospital, likely staying in 3-7 days longer than expected.
Vasovagal syncope any time I stand
Wi-Fi at other hospital is v bad so RIP my only form of sanity for the next week (:

They’re taking me off the fentanyl today so I’m gonna be back to completely unmanaged pain as they only want to give codeine and oral morphine which have not worked at all since admittance :/

Physio day 3 basically the same as 2. BP fine so not sure why near blackouts keep happening. a walker frame is off the table for now so using a seated frame for getting around
Trying to sit in a chair for 1-2h as I’ve been stuck laying in the same pos for 10 days but super dizzy

Physio day 2 a bit mixed
Got cast off, relieved a lot of pressure. Managed to stand up at walker frame, tho very briefly. Went dizzy to almost blacking out within 10 sec of standing
Still think I should have a frame around knee but if I keep up I could be out in 3-4 days

I am so fucking close to losing it, I cannot handle all this extra bullshit stressing me out and I do not have the money for so many extra expenses
I just want to fucking rest after my surgery but I’ve had zero sleep and now trying to chase up my bike’s whereabouts by deadline

Just got letter saying my bike will be crushed on Friday if I don’t pick it up, dated the 5th. I literally just had major surgery and will be in hospital for another week minimum and insurance was supposed to have it by now

First round of physio done even though I was in pure agony beforehand. I badly want to be on my feet again, even if I’m gonna be on a walker for 2 months or so
I just need some painkillers that actually work so I can get through it all easier :/

fobbed off on severity of pain yet again. Happens every time they ask and I complain-I think I’m just too calm to be taken seriously. told to administer the fent every 5 mins which I have been to no effect, told hard no for ket as an option and to wait til Monday for specialists

Update: fentanyl does NOT work either. It was just the after effects of anaesthesia and nerve blockers that helped up until early this morning. Pain slowly increased and now is a constant 10/10 and worse than it had been since the ambulance ride

Was also initially told that recovery would take between 6-8 weeks but it’s now going to be a minimum of 12 weeks for full rehab because of how bad the damage was, first half being no weight on leg, then slowly increasing until I can walk on full weight. not ideal but wcyd

Still feeling the pain but being able to micromanage it with the fentanyl has helped a lot today, doesn’t completely numb it but 4/10 is much more bearable and a level I’m used to daily anyway
Not in a solid frame/cast yet as expected but probably not ideal for first day. Idunno

Back on ward now, no word on how surgery went yet. Stronger morphine injections not working so I’m on fentanyl PCA as well as blockers, I still feel most of everything and pain was awful for a while after I came around, passed out briefly and almost threw up
