Halk içre bir âyineyim, herkes bakar bir ân görür Her ne görür, kendi özün, ger yahşi ger yaman görür I am a mirror set among mankind; all who look upon me see only for an instant Yet what they truly see is themselves, whether noble or flawed | Pîr Niyâzî-i Mısrî

Çok düşünme bilakis çok istiğfar et. Allah düşünmekle açılmayan kapıları istiğfar ile açar. Think less and seek forgiveness more. There are doors that remain closed to the mind, yet Allah opens them through sincere repentance.

One of the most common mistakes made by those who think deeply is to attach great significance to people of small character. The noble heart often sees through the lens of its own purity, forgetting that not every soul carries the same measure of depth.

One day, Hz. Muhammed Arif Rivgeri summoned Hz. Mahmud Injir Fagnevi and said: “I hear that you carve crooked pieces of wood and shape them into perfectly straight planks. I hear that you build perfectly aligned brick walls, smoothing away every imperfection with plaster.

O Mahmud! The true skill is not in straightening wood, but in straightening what is crooked within the hearts of men. The true skill is in cultivating hearts capable of receiving the manifestations of the Divine.

You can literally buy these fake miniatures from any roadside shop in Istanbul, which people sell as real Ottoman-era manuscripts to fool gullible tourists lol. I tried transcribing the text, and honestly, I have no idea what it says. Horse looks kinda creepy too if you ask me.

واغا خشنزری؟ عامی راو اکسیرکن؟ What on earth do these words mean? The lower paragraph is somewhere readable for those who can read Ottoman Turkish, but again, it's not 100% clear. In authentic manuscripts, even difficult handwriting usually shows recognisable vocabulary.

When Muslims become absorbed in comfort and luxury, forget how to endure, and abandon striving for the truth, they gradually lose both their dignity and purpose. A community that no longer bear hardships for a noble cause cannot preserve the honour they once possessed.

Man is always searching. Sometimes, he finds what he seeks. Sometimes, he merely thinks he has found it. And sometimes, just as he believes he has finally attained it, a trial arrives and it slips from his grasp.

Whoever shook his blessed hand would carry his sweet fragrance throughout the day. It was as if every rose in creation had taken their scent from him. His beauty wasn't just seen, but felt. Not merely admired, but loved. Peace and blessings be upon him.

Those who merely repeat what they hear are content to do no more than that. But those endowed with insight and discernment, however, examine what they hear in order to distinguish truth from falsehood. It is only in this way that knowledge can flourish and shine. | Ibn Khaldun
