Haynes said that if the district goes to an opt out policy, that adds another layer of burden on teachers. (No one has suggested mandating masks again, like Broward County and some others.)

I’m not a doctor, but I’m pretty sure the death of a teacher and/or peer (if not many) would cause greater mental health challenges than those that might come with remote learning.
