People keep saying this but Tony had better situational awareness and so many games were decided by lack of awareness from the staff
I suspect Tony probably regrets his decision to go coach that atrocious Giants team right now but let’s be honest here… Tony built this Tennessee roster and would’ve had a very similar season to what Elander has done.

Tennessee QB Faizon Brandon has “positioned himself” to potentially start Week 1, @PeteNakos reports 🍊
“Entering the spring, sources gave (George) MacIntyre the edge in the QB battle,” wrote Nakos. “But now heading into the summer, sources believe that Brandon has positioned himself to truly compete for the job and potentially start Week 1.”
Brandon was a five-star recruit in the 2026 class, and joined the #Vols as an early enrollee in January.
MacIntyre, a redshirt freshman, was a four-star recruit in the 2025 class, and appeared in two games for the Big Orange last season.
Tennessee opens the season against Furman on September 5th with kickoff set for 3:30PM ET on the SEC Network .
