Trevoh Chalobah on being called up to the World Cup squad:
🗣️ “I can’t even describe what this moment means to me. This has always been my dream since I was a kid playing at a World Cup, representing my country on the biggest stage in football.
When I got the call, I just froze for a second. Everything I’ve worked for, all the training sessions, all the setbacks, all the sacrifices it all led to this moment.
I remember back in 2018, I posted a picture on my social media with the World Cup image and the word ‘BELIEVE’ written as the caption. People might not have understood it then, but I did. I was speaking my future into existence.
Now to actually be here, in the squad, preparing for a World Cup, it feels unreal. It’s emotional because it’s not just football it’s childhood dreams becoming reality.
I’m here to give everything. Not just for myself, but for everyone who believed in me when I was just a young boy posting ‘believe’ and hoping one day it would come true.
Now it’s not a dream anymore. It’s reality.”
