Moray are lucky to be keeping a fantastic NQT! All the best for the new school year!
Ecstatic at the fact I’ve been allocated my first choice council. Thrilled to be completing my probationary year with @MorayCouncil 😆 #NQT

#mrmarrnazigermany In June 1919, Germany was forced to sign the Treaty of Versailles. Germans were furious at the harsh treaty, calling it a 'diktat'. The politicians who signed it were never forgiven by many Germans, and this undermined the new Weimar political system.

Higher - Kaiser Wilhelm II’s abdication was announced before he even had time to consent to it! This was due to the unrest in Germany at the end of WW1, and political leaders were convinced this was necessary to maintain order.
On this day in 1918, Kaiser Wilhelm II gives up the German throne and goes into exile. He dies in the Netherlands in 1941 at the age of 82.

Lest we Forget. EHS marks Remembrance Day with displays around the school, a minute’s silence and the laying of a poppy wreath at the New Elgin War Memorial. Thanks to Miss Hunt & Mrs MacLeod for the displays! @_MissHunt_ @TheLibraryatEHS

Higher - Prussian military strength can be accredited to better training, weapons and leadership which ensured swift victories over Denmark, Austria and France.
On this day in 1870, Prussian troops lay siege to Paris. The city holds out for 131 days before finally surrendering.

S3 H - Bonnie Prince Charlie was seen by many Scots to be the legitimate King of Great Britain, but never managed to claim the title due to the failed Jacobite rebellions, and the disasterous end of the battle of Culloden.

MS - a fantastic example of using your voice to make real change. Teachers across Scotland have spoken to Deputy First Minister John Swinney about finding jobs, this is the outcome! ⬇️ You can all make real change too by using your voice!

S3 H - Tsar Nicholas II was forced to abdicate in 1917 for many reasons, including the bad economic conditions caused by WW1, the influence of his German wife Alexandra (who some thought a German spy!) and his determination to remain an autocrat (the only person in power).
