How we give the task to students matters. A screen is better than a handout;a handout is better than a textbook.But verbal is better than both. This finding “freaked us out”. Giving the task in the 1st 5 minutes to Ss standing up maximises thinking. Loving @pgliljedahl #merga44

Today’s the last day of Teacher Appreciation Week, but I feel appreciative of teachers in general and those I specifically had every day. I’m especially grateful I grew up with teachers who read aloud to me. It was those experiences that introduced me to the magic of story.

🔊 Spello is like Wordle, except it’s for teachers to create spelling lists. Students follow the teacher's link and click “Play Word” to hear the word. After each spelling try the tiles change to show how close the guess is to the actual spelling.
