I’ve always believed Elon was sincere in his convictions — and I’ve dismissed those who say his criticism of the “One Big Beautiful Bill” is just about losing the $7,500 EV tax credit.
He’s said many times he supports removing EV subsidies. I took him at his word.
🧵But…
Whatever.
Keep the EV/solar incentive cuts in the bill, even though no oil & gas subsidies are touched (very unfair!!), but ditch the MOUNTAIN of DISGUSTING PORK in the bill.
In the entire history of civilization, there has never been legislation that both big and beautiful. Everyone knows this!
Either you get a big and ugly bill or a slim and beautiful bill.
Slim and beautiful is the way.

I still believe Elon cares deeply about fiscal responsibility and long-term sustainability.
But it’s hard to ignore how this bill directly undermines a huge pillar of Tesla’s business model.
And honestly — this hasn’t gotten enough attention.

That doesn’t invalidate his concerns, the U.S. does have a spending problem, and something needs to change.
It’s just food for thought — especially for those of us who admire Elon and want to believe his motives are always rooted in principle.

I’ve met many leaders, but only a few truly rock the system.
Today was one of them…
@RealDonaldTrump called him his favorite President
@elonmusk praised what he’s achieved for his country
Both men have spent hours with him, and other leaders should do the same.
President @JMilei is one of our generation’s most transformational leaders, turning an economy that went broke 7 times, had half the population in poverty, was going through hyperinflation, and was stuck in a decades-long spiral of debt, and turned it around within months
And most shocking of all: He remains strong in the polls
In a world mired in debt, and politicians struggling to take action, what can other leaders and economists learn from the world’s first libertarian anarcho-capitalist?

And I noticed a pattern: when the ‘anti EU establishment’ gains momentum, the system seemingly moves to shut it down.
And what’s worse is that no country is immune, not even Germany and France!
I LOVE Europe, I’ve spent years there, and the European Union is one of the most ambitious experiments in unity the world has ever seen: diverse, historic, idealistic.
That’s why it’s so painful to watch it rot from within.
The corruption, the fear of dissent, the manipulation of the system… it’s heartbreaking.
