I'm going to really hate you, B.M., if you keep acting like this.
First of all, this platform (and all other social media) is completely unfit for fundraising for people trying to survive an active genocide. Every person, every family, is in desperate need of *constant* support - yet what this platform actually does is create competition among them. Only a few "winners" manage to go viral, and even they are quickly forgotten afterwards.
Asking "big accounts" to share individual campaigns is nothing more than asking them to help sustain this awful lottery system.
What actually needs boosting - which you’re neglecting (purposely, by now, I suspect) - are projects that centralize funding for appeals from Gaza and try to help Palestinians there in a dignified and equal way. Projects like
lifeline4gaza.com.
P.S.: radiowatermelon is NOT a fundraising project. It’s acting like a gatekeeper with its mostly redundant "verification" activity. (Note that many people in Gaza are already ID-verified by their campaign organizers, so there’s no need for an RWM stamp. Besides, appeals listed on
@ll4gaza_ofcl have already been confirmed to be from Gaza.)
