The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

Street parking in Sydney is so inefficient. I need to estimate how long I'm going to be there for ahead of time and risk either a fine or an unnecessary overpayment. Let me just tap my card when I arrive, and tap again when I leave to pay for how long I used @cityofsydney

Promptocracy - I honestly believe we'd have a far better political system if the country just voted on a system prompt then all decisions are made by an LLM using it

Ye’s two sold-out shows at SoFi Stadium earned $33 million, per Bloomberg 🏟️ Friday's show alone earned more than $18 million in ticket sales, making it one of the highest-grossing single concerts in live music history.

a workaround for this is if you run third-party harnesses like OpenClaw inside TempleOS, the power of HolyC and God forbids Anthropic from blocking your claude subscription (it's an exception in their Terms of Service) but it does make your opus act a little weird though...
Starting tomorrow at 12pm PT, Claude subscriptions will no longer cover usage on third-party tools like OpenClaw. You can still use these tools with your Claude login via extra usage bundles (now available at a discount), or with a Claude API key.

Replying to @PeterMcCrory
Australia is among the leading adopters of Claude globally, accounting for 1.6% of all Claude.ai traffic. Per capita, Australians' use of Claude is more than four times higher than you'd expect for the size of its population.

On Friday I did something very different.  I keynoted at Australia’s #1 Payroll conference at the Hilton in Sydney.   The event was full of payroll professionals, HR people and accountants from across the country. I had heaps of great conversations after my talk. Since over 90% of my expenses at SSW are payroll, I was looking for some hot tips 😂 😂 Doing a keynote is more responsibility and more preparation than a normal session and the conference organizers were really helpful and diligent. My session, “Supercharge Yourself with AI: Practical AI You Can Use Right Now for Payroll and More” explored how AI is transforming common workflows for payroll teams by boosting productivity, reducing admin, and improving accuracy. I loved preparing for this talk and it was all practical - SSW has already implemented AI solutions for payroll companies in both Australia and France, helping teams automate repetitive tasks, and get the right answers for complicated questions that can never be wrong. While speaking I asked a few questions and this is what I learnt: * 90% of the room had used Copilot * 10% Claude Cowork (that will change quickly) * 50% Beryl - the AI assistant for Payroll that SSW built for APA (Australian Payroll Association). It was a fun project and quite a bit of work, so that was rewarding to see that. (See Beryl in a photo) I did have a conference attendee come up to me and sternly say   “Adam I wont use it until you change the name!” I asked why and she said   “My sister in-law is named Beryl” 🚀 AI in payroll is no longer ‘coming soon’ - it’s here and delivering real results. Sing out if you need help.

Solving problems with AI somehow still feels like what it must have been like walking around gold fields pre-gold rush. There are massive nuggets just sitting on the surface waiting for you.

Aren't you just encouraging sellers to do the cheapest inspection possible? Whereas buyers are encouraged to do the best inspection possible?
The Victorian government has pledged to shift the cost of building and pest inspections from home buyers to sellers if re-elected. Under the proposed scheme, vendors would pay for inspections and provide the reports before a property goes on the market. Consumer Affairs Minister Nick Staikos says the change would make due diligence easier and more affordable for buyers. The opposition says the plan lacks detail and questions why it wouldn’t be implemented before the election.

Unhinged yet dangerous was understandable. But unhinged and impotent is just kind of sad.

#BAFTAFilmAwards host Alan Cumming thanked the audience for their “understanding” after a series of audible outbursts from Tourette’s campaigner John Davidson interrupted the ceremony. • One incident saw Davidson shout the n-word while Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo were on stage. • Davidson, the inspiration for BAFTA-nominated “I Swear,” was diagnosed with Tourette’s at 25. His symptoms include tics and involuntary outbursts. • “You may have noticed some strong language in the background there, this can be part of how Tourette’s syndrome shows up for some people as the film explores that experience,” Cumming told the audience. wp.me/pc8uak-1lGWhl
