Family pictures of dead relatives, housing waitlist paperwork, ID, a phone book with the numbers of family they don't know by heart, cash they were saving for an apartment deposit.

Idk what people think happens when you report an encampment, but they don't get any help. They get beat by police. They get fined and their tents, food, blankets, IDs, ashes of their loved ones, medicines, etc. thrown away. They get more traumatized desperate than before.
