i cannot wait for the future comedy/ documentary series for the anthropic lobbying story
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

at first I thought LLMs can be good interns, but now that human interns can use LLMs, I think LLMs not qualified as interns anymore, too dumb

to add a single line of TODO, I pasted one line from the agent review on github, and typed one line to describe the task brain rot? no - I think I am just treating agents as friends, this is the same thing i'd say to my interns

i wish I had agents when I was doing system research, getting random repos to run was a huge pain, now it's just like a breeze on the other hand, now that we have agents, how many people are still doing system research?

i ask agents to write parsers to burn the remaining tokens before it refreshes still amazed by how many people fail at writing parsers at college and how easy it's for agents now

i have seen enough proof now that using a coding agent is a deep skill it's confusing because the people you see heavily using them produce horrible results but that's because it's a skill! you can get better and the ceiling seems pretty high - this is very exciting to me

we need to put humans in control, to "outsource the understanding" back to the human brain.
Uber’s COO has said that it’s getting “harder to justify” its AI costs because there was no way to show a link between AI spend and any meaningful increase in useful features. This is the first time I’ve seen a company say this directly. businessinsider.com/uber-coo…
