Observations on #Commanders OTAs by @LakeLewisJr on @Rio_Robinson91 show: • Jayden Daniels looked really good and comfortable under center • Daniels visibly looks physically stronger, especially neck & biceps. • Team did another walkthrough this evening, not typical for OTAs. • Three players that stood out: Jayden, Terry, Dyami. • A lot of different looks on defense (3-4 and 4-3) • Trent Scott “pancaked” someone in practice today resulting in practice briefly stopping & everyone coming to middle of field. Team likely reiterated not to “go all out and kill each other” • Chig Okonkwo stood out today; offense had him in motion rather than just only lined up at traditional TE spot. • Feel is that the defense is going to “get off the bus blitzing this year” and won’t be “light hearted” about it. • From 40-50 yds, Drew Stevens was “hitting the back of the wall in the bubble”. Kicked a 55 yd FG and cleared it with about 15 yds. • Sonny Styles is watching film “all the time” and the team respects him already; looked “right at home” with the veterans. • Antonio Williams looked good & smooth on his route running; very cerebal and processes at different speed from most rookies. • Odafe Oweh’s size & length stood out; has long arms • QB3 competition is “no competition” between Athan Kaliakmanis & Sam Hartman. Hartman had some low throws & lacked arm strength whereas Kaliakmanis put the ball in receiver hands. • Nick Allegretti took majority of reps at center, looked good & comfortable. • Josh Conerly Jr & Laremy Tunsil both have gotten bigger and stronger over offseason.
