Very reassuring to know nobody picks up when you call @MumbaiPolice and @MTPHereToHelp helplines 👍🏼 thanks to them, reckless drivers like this can hit and damage cars, confident that they won’t face consequences. Lawless land.

I’ve been here before and been told there’s no FIR for such accidents unless someone is hurt. There is no license seizing, no damage these people pay — nothing. Even if I go to the police station, it’s my hours wasted for money to go out of my own insurance/pocket. Absurd.

Anyway you have the car number, the drivers face and license. Linking Road, Khar, was the location of the accident. I hope someone will take action but I have little faith.

Hiring by Meta, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Netflix, and Google has risen sharply in India in recent months. This trend coincides with the growing restrictions to the H-1B visa, often used by tech companies to bring international talent to the U.S. restofworld.org/2026/h1b-vis…

Everyone knows #Tesla, but have you heard of China's #Wuling Mini EV? Its success is actually anomalous in the micro EV market. They usually don't sell so well. And yet more and more carmakers are making them. Unpack this on @restofworld : restofworld.org/2026/micro-e…

10 years ago today, on January 6, 2016, #Netflix launched in #India. Over the years, its original programming out of the country has produced some gems. My recommendation is the Emmy award-winning Delhi Crime.

Of course, there have been misses *cough* Heeramandi *cough* but largely, Netflix has been growing from strength to strength. A couple of years ago, it was the top SVOD platform in India. (That's likely changed with #JioHotstar but that's a tough beast to compete with!)
