got offered tokens to try Opus 4.8. Asked it to take a tetris game that already works and integrate into my website. my website is currently down. Opus is burning through tokens just to try to get it back to its starting state. @AnthropicAI - Opus is not good.

I am just going to let my website be down for as long as it takes. I will record the time and the tokens... I just want to see how long it takes for Opus to get back to where ti started and my website it up again!

Went out back to cook this is REALLY beautiful cut of locally (Wisconsin) sources new york strip... got the grill running, and I was LOW ON GAS! Took 12 minutes to cook a streak that normally takes less than 5. But, it turned out good. Check your propane tank!

AGI won't come from word prediction engines. Being truthful, the LLMs haven't actually gotten much better, the tooling (the harnesses around them) has... language models have actually started to platue.

Chat...if you don't realize this yet, please look into it more. LLMs DO, without any doubt, speed up your time market. But the question is, at what cost? I can do the same thing, same quality, might take some more time, at 1/8 the cost. Who is benefiting 8x just to ship faster?

artificial intelligence and large language model are not the same thing. Normalize NOT interchanging the terms.

Feyman was stupid. This guy knows science better! FOLLOW HIM!
Replying to @_andrewthecoder
Really? Tell me: What does science do with unfalsifiable theories? Do you understand what "unfalsifiable" means? I'm done with you. I can't help stupid.

funny thing. proof that LLMs are getting worse. We aren't asking each other to write stuff. We are asking each other to prove that AI can write stuff...

storms coming through. weird, pretty much CONSTANT sound of thunder...and I don't mean one after another. just, it doesn't stop. a constant "rumble" outside. very ominous.

if you are vibe codeing javascript... please be aware that your LLM hasn't trained on the ECMA2025 spec. You are writing old code. Learn to program before you use token prediction engines to write your code.

peeking the latest X algorithm release. The ranking model predicts 15 engagement types per post and combines them with weights. But replies and quotes are weighted much higher than you'd think. The algorithm doesn't reward broadcasting. It rewards starting conversations.

Hot take after 25 years of writing code: the best refactor is the one you don't do! Software engineers love rewriting things. We justify with "technical debt" and "clean architecture."

Most rewrites ship late, break things that worked, and deliver the same functionality with different variable names. The codebase that runs the world isn't clean. It's the one that the last person wasn't afraid to touch.
