।। "श्वेताश्वतर" उपनिषद् ।। उद्गीतमेतत्परमं तु ब्रह्म तस्मिंस्त्रयं सुप्रतिष्ठाऽक्षरं च । अत्रान्तरं ब्रह्मविदो विदित्वा लीना ब्रह्मणि तत्परा योनिमुक्ताः।।७।। ("श्वेताश्वतर" उपनिषद् - प्रथमोध्याय) यह मंत्र श्वेताश्वतर के पूर्ववर्ती “चक्र” रूपकों का उपसंहार करते हुए साधक को सीधा परम-लक्ष्य पर ले आता है। “उद्गीतम्” घोषित, उच्चरित, उद्घोषित यह संकेत है कि उपनिषद् यहाँ किसी अनुमान नहीं, श्रुति-प्रमाण द्वारा सत्य का उद्घोष कर रहा है: परमं ब्रह्म ही अन्तिम आधार है। भगवत्पाद भाष्यकार भगवान आदि शंकराचार्य के अनुसार ब्रह्म कोई दूरस्थ वस्तु नहीं; वह स्वप्रकाश चैतन्य है जिसके प्रकाश में देह, मन, जगत् और सभी अनुभव प्रकट होते हैं। मंत्र कहता है - “तस्मिन् त्रयं सुप्रतिष्ठा अक्षरं च।” भगवान आदि शाङ्कर की दृष्टि में “त्रय” का तात्पर्य उस समस्त व्यावहारिक जगत् से है, जो त्रिविधता में चलता दिखता है - त्रिगुण, त्रिकाल, त्रिविध अनुभव-रचना। ये सब ब्रह्म में सुप्रतिष्ठित हैं; अर्थात् उनका अस्तित्व-आधार ब्रह्म है, पर ब्रह्म उनसे अस्पृष्ट रहता है। और “अक्षरम्” शब्द यहाँ ब्रह्म की नित्यताः अविनाशिता और अविकारिता को पुष्ट करता है - जो जन्म-मरण और परिवर्तन के पार है। किन्तु मंत्र का मर्म “आधार” कह देने से पूरा नहीं होता; इसलिए वह जोड़ता है - “अत्र अन्तरं ब्रह्मविदः विदित्वा।” यहाँ “अन्तरम्” का संकेत भगवत्पाद भगवान आदि शंकराचार्य की परम्परा में अत्यंत निर्णायक है: ब्रह्म बाहर नहीं - अन्तः, साक्षी-रूप में है। यही विवेक दृश्य और द्रष्टा का भेद, अनात्मा और आत्मा का पृथक्करण - ब्रह्मविद्या का द्वार है। जब साधक जान लेता है कि त्रिगुणात्मक प्रकृति, देह मन, कर्तृत्व भोक्तृत्व सब उपाधि हैं; और “मैं” उनका साक्षी चैतन्य हूँ, तब ब्रह्म “समझ” नहीं, प्रत्यक्ष बोध बनता है। फल कहा गया - “लीना ब्रह्मणि तत्पराः योनिमुक्ताः।” “लीन” होने का अर्थ भगवान आदि शंकर के अनुसार कोई शारीरिक विलय नहीं, बल्कि अहंकार-ग्रन्थि का लय है - भेद-बुद्धि का विसर्जन। “तत्पर” अर्थात् जिनकी निष्ठा उसी सत्य में स्थिर है। ऐसे ज्ञानी “योनिमुक्त” जन्म-परम्परा से मुक्त हो जाते हैं। प्रस्थानत्रयी का एकस्वर यहाँ स्पष्ट है : •उपनिषद् : ब्रह्मज्ञान से अमृतत्व। •गीता : ज्ञानाग्नि से कर्म-बंधन दग्ध। •ब्रह्मसूत्र (शंकर) : अविद्या-निवृत्ति ही मोक्ष; भेद उपाधि-कल्पित है। निष्कर्ष : यह मंत्र घोषणा करता है कि समस्त त्रिविध जगत् और अक्षरत्व सबका आश्रय परम ब्रह्म है; और वही ब्रह्म “अन्तरात्मा” रूप से निकटतम है। ब्रह्मविद् इस “अन्तर” को जानकर भेद-बुद्धि का लय कर देता है; ब्रह्म में निष्ठ होकर जन्म-बंधन से मुक्त हो जाता है यही शाङ्कर-भाष्य का सार, और प्रस्थानत्रयी का सिद्धान्त है। #श्वेताश्वतर_उपनिषद् #अद्वैत_वेदान्त #AdvaitVedanta #स्वाध्याय #भगवत्पादाचार्य #AvdheshanandG_Quotes
