On June 9th, ARTSCCC Executive Director Jenny Balise presented before the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors and accepted a Proclamation celebrating the extraordinary achievements of our youth & and poetry programs! 📜🎨
The proclamation highlights:
🏆 Poetry Out Loud: Robin Moore.
📚 Library Workshop: José Cordón, Jeremy Phillips, Donté Clark, Tajanique Bell, & Monique McCoy
✨ Juvenile Hall Poetry Series: Donté Clark & CieraJevae Gordon as a vital youth diversion program.
Over the last 10 weeks, ARTSCCC team members Jenny and Esther participated in the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office Community Academy Program (Spring 2026 cohort)! 🎓✨
We truly appreciate opportunities like this to connect with our county and gain a deeper understanding of the sensitive, complex work this office handles every day. 💼⚖️

We took a trip over to the Pittsburg workshop to deliver certificates and swag to the incredible youth who missed out on Friday's Youth Arts Connection celebration.
The event may be over, but our appreciation for our young creatives never stops.
