🇫🇰 Falkland Islands Liberation Day
In 1982, British forces liberated the Falkland Islands, defending British territory and the rights and freedoms of the Falkland Islanders.
The Falkland Islands are British; their people have the right to self-determination, and we will always stand shoulder to shoulder with them.
We will never forget the bravery and sacrifice of our servicemen and women in defence of British sovereignty.
“They are few in number, but they have the right to live in peace, to choose their own way of life and to determine their own allegiance.” — Margaret Thatcher
