lrt is a really interesting take. i've always wondered if the xehanort that appeared in MoM was a manifestation of kairi's fears or if it was somehow data Xehanort had inputted in kairi's heart. if it was the former, then it begs to question how does kairi know potato sack ansem?
it might be a combination of both tbh. that would explain why there's a static effect as xehanort transitions to his other versions in the scene. but if it was entirely made up of kairi's memories then that would mean kairi must've met potato sack ansem at one point, no?
Sometimes I hate when people summarize Kairi's involvement in KH1 as her just being in a "coma" because i feel like one of the underrated parts of KH1 is how she directly affects Sora by being in his heart. She actively responds to Sora's journey and emotions several times-
Like Kairi may have not been in her own body but she was very much present in the narrative and you can feel her influence on Sora. Revealing that she was in Sora's heart made
perfect sense because we got to see her heart reach out to Sora several times prior.
you know how roxas' memories affected sora too? It'd be neat if the same happened with kairi and namine. Imagine kairi formally meeting larxene and marluxia and she suddently feels a pit in her stomach that she can't explain.
don't mind me closing the door and potentially cutting my connection to the world i know forever. i'm thinking about kairi first. riku kingdomhearts everybody
