TV Friends, noms end Monday! Please consider We Were the Lucky Ones for Picture Editing, Limited Series. This was a challenging edit, tragic and uplifting, based on the incredible true story of the Kurc family 🤍 ✂️🎞️ Episode 104 "Casablanca" #wwtlo#Emmys#TelevisionAcademy
Great essay on River's Edge (1986), a personal favorite which happens to be produced by my Mom #MidgeSanford and #SarahPillsbury! Playing tomorrow night @Metrograph
On the clammy chill of River's Edge, a tale of Gen X anomie to rival Less Than Zero (and a personal core text!) - for @Metrographmetrograph.com/riversedge/
This past week, our loved ones and volunteer advocates joined us in Albany for a Family Lobby Day to ask Lawmakers to get #MedicalAidinDying over the finish line in New York.
The first trailer for #WeWeretheLuckyOnes, the limited series we've been working on for the last year. It was made with great care, honoring the true stories of a family's struggle to survive and reunite ✂️🎞️

Forever grateful to this kind and wise man who took a chance on me near the start of my career. He set the tone in production and post, and helped create the aesthetics of The Wire. His presence, and his absence, were always felt as we continued the show without him. ❤️

Proud to be here on the steps in Albany supporting #MedicalAidInDying in NY. My sign says Love and Compassion. Tell your state reps to pass this bill in 2024. 10 states already have the law for terminally ill people, allowing them agency to say goodbye with dignity and love.
With respect and love for terminally ill New Yorkers, this morning we took to Albany and called on lawmakers to pass the #MedicalAidInDying Act THIS SESSION.
My son Benjamin, who passed away in 2019, wanted this option. It would have brought him peace. Please help pass #MedicalAidInDying2024 Find your state representative and tell them to vote for this compassionate choice.
The bill contains safeguards to ensure that terminally ill patients need two doctors’ support and no conflicts of interest. Only those with the ability to self-administer can benefit. This will end needless suffering for patients and their loved ones.
Anyone who ever had a chance to say something pointed or political in an American television entertainment owes Norman Lear their adoration and awe. He saw what was possible in that vacuous glowing box and, almost singularly, he made it so.
Cutting this heartbreaking scene was a great privilege, getting these beats and these frames just right. Beautifully acted,
directed by Agnieszka Holland, written by Richard Price. Those were satisfying times, helping to build each piece of something meaningful.
