Imran Khan has consistently, almost stubbornly, downplayed his own health concerns throughout his imprisonment.
He is, for the first time, urgently emphasising that his eyes need to be checked properly. He feels the need to have his blood tests done and is demanding access to his own doctors.
We need to understand that for him to speak this plainly about his health means the situation has reached a point he can no longer minimize.
