For tonight’s topic “Something that made me blush,” I sent to Yuta at Home the story of me with my friend from university, who, used to be my best bud but due to us both being entangled with “adulting” and officially being part of society, it had become rare for us to contact each other. Because of Yuta Persona in Kōbe, I asked her if she’s down to meet (my friend lives in Awaji)—she didn’t just agree, she offered her house for me to stay a couple of days, showed me around, and bought me meals. When it was time for us to bid goodbyes since I have to head back to Kantou, I thanked her for everything, gave some presents and told her whatever she needs I could help with, let me know—but she only responded with “it should be me who should thank you.” Because apparently all this time, she was thankful I was the one befriending her during our school days, even saying I was like the “sunshine of the class.”At the time, I didn’t think much of it cuz “duh? We’re friends, it’s normal.” But her saying it that way made me blush I almost cried remembering it while riding a bus back to Kantou. I told Yuta I’m happy that through his music and live shows, I was able not just to make new friends, but also creating great memories with old ones. Yuta’s recommended Artist: Yungblud Yuta said he used to think there’s a structured way of what rock should be, but listening to Yungblud’s album, he saw that there were various genres in it, and he said he also relates when Yungblud also talked about wanting to create songs that can accompany people in their lives (life journey). When asked what is Yuta’s charm, he said it’s his “gap.” Normally, Yuta would have a warm, welcoming way of speaking to people, but in his performer persona, his demeanor and expressions change completely. He turns into a rocker through and through. Yuta on Ozawa-san 😆 When asked if there’s anyone who influenced him recently, Yuta said it’s Ozawa-san (his Ozawa-aniki). He said Ozawa-san seemed youthful, updating on insta every morning about his huge meals, his muscular built, etc. He said he asked Ozawa-san why he posts/updates with those, Ozawa-san said it’s because he wanted to be popular with women. 😂 Yuta also mentioned about a cute episode where Ozawa-san had some treatment for his knee (like having injections to increase cell count/regeneration). Yuta about being in a group vs solo activities He said that while there are things you can’t do while you’re in a group, but being in a group also means you can support each other on where someone falls short (can support each other’s weakness), and you can only find that kind of charm in a group. In a group, if a synergy occurs, the effect would be powerful. As for solo, “if you di*, everyone d**s.” So he said the pressure is immense. (For group activities, it’s a shared burden, but in solo, you’re the single point of success or failure) He said he never really sang a measure (verse/chorus) alone, so he used to think, “ah this song is easy (to sing).” But then doing solo he realized how hard it could actually be. #YUTA #夜の音

Yuta about his rock roots When asked whether he really intended to create band/rock music, Yuta said yes and how he’d always loved L’arc. He then mentions the senior he admires, HYDE-san, who he requests for shouts/growl samples when they had a drink. 😆 He mentions again about how HYDE is not really the theoretical kind and usually when asked for techniques he’d answer “I don’t know,” so Yuta said HYDE is really a natural genius/talented. Yuta about his struggles after debut He mentioned that he couldn’t be genuinely happy when he was decided to debut, because seeing his seniors with 5-member, 7-member groups and then having discussed the concept of NCT with them, he got worried if that would be okay. He also mentioned his struggles whether he’s straying away from the concept he had liked. Because when they were trainees, hiphop concept weren’t that common yet and they were trained for different things. He said it got to a point where he was already telling the manager/s(?) he can’t do it anymore until he met Rino Nakasone-san during The Link. After meeting Rino-san, he said he burst out crying and she said, “Yuta should cherish Yuta’s own identity more.” 🥺 #YUTA #夜の音

Yuta was asked about his audition/trainee days in SM again. At first he was asked about the number of people who tried to audition and he said a couple ten thousand or so. For example , they were grouped by 30 and each person was tested on their singing abilities, after that then next person/next group. He also mentioned that he didn’t have prior experience at all but somehow he didn’t have any worries because there were some former trainees who taught him a lot of things. He again talked about how he never mentioned anything to his parents about auditioning and only told them when everything was going smoothly and he had to go to Korea. When asked about his parents’ reactions, he said his father was like, “Don’t go home (until you succeed). Even if a family member d**s, I won’t contact you at all.” As for his friends’ reactions, they were like, “Huh?
