UPDATE: We've just acquired Mer UK's public charging network 💚⚡️ Remember when you said you wanted more places to charge? We may have slightly overdelivered… Overnight, Be.EV has grown (a lot) – we know you like options, and you’ll soon have an extra 450 places to plug-in (that’s over 1,600 new bays) across the UK, including loads more in the South, yes, we heard you😉 And, this means there will soon be more places to power-up with our market-leading 39p/kWh Mega subscription and the UK’s longest off-peak window (7pm–7am). If you charge with Be.EV already, or you’ve been using Mer, everything continues as normal for now. Behind the scenes though, we’ll be getting to work. Over the next few months, we’ll start rolling out the Be.EV experience across these sites – focusing on reliability, value for money, and bringing everything under one big green network. Stay tuned for more updates very soon!

As it gets colder… a reminder ❄️🚗⚡️ EV chargers don’t supply any less power when it’s chilly (in fact, colder temps keep components cool and can allow for higher-power for even longer) If you’re getting slower charging speeds than you expect, it’s likely your chilly battery limiting what the car is asking for. Especially in these temperatures, make sure to pre-heat your battery before charging for a quicker charge 🔋🔥

A pretty good week at the office ⚡️ We’ve made plenty of noise this week around 39p, but it centres around what really matters to us most – making super quick, super easy EV charging accessible to everyone. If we want this transition to happen, and for the road fleet to not just be 4/5% electric, but 40/50% electric or higher within the next decade, then charging has to be an affordable non-event for everyone in the UK, whether they have driveways or not. We’ve got dozens more bays and Hubs going live this year across the UK, and plenty more fun to come too. A huge thanks from the Be.EV team for all the feedback and support this week, keep it coming 💚🧡

Don’t get me wrong, I love a big-power volt-and-bolt…⚡️⚡️⚡️ But sometimes, an easy 11kW destination top-up is just right for a trip into the town centre – especially when parking is free whilst charging. Cheers @BeEV_Charging @TraffordCouncil 💚
