The @marathonbcm is a huge success, but it’s disappointing that roads still aren’t fully closed. For an event of this scale, runners should not have to worry about interacting with live traffic. It feels outdated and, frankly, a bit embarrassing that basic safety measures seen in other cities aren’t fully in place here.
DRIVING MADNESS Lack of stewards today at the Andersonstown mark. This driver cut across runners while an Uber driver was marshalled away by some of the crowd as he attempted 5/6 times to turn in at the Leisure Centre to pick up a fare.
