DIGIC 8, after stacked (package on a package) RAM was removed.
Good luck googling CH4-7000 P/N.
No cameras were harmed during chip removal. That SX70 HS was already dead by water submersion.

Digic 8 vs Digic 8. One from SX70, other from 250D.
Different P/N but at least UART and JTAG pinout (and in general - ball grid array layout) matches.

Ah, and as a reminder - out of the box SX740 doesn't even do .CR3 RAW stills, it is jpeg only point-and-shoot. CR3 functionality is still in firmware, very buggy but can be enabled.

Got a faster card (Adata 64GB, ~290/260 r/w on UHSII reader). In cam benchmarks peak at ~220MB/s write.
3072x1728px was (almost) sustainable at 25fps. This is probably the limit of what uncompressed 14 bit RAW can do on this cam.

I thought there was a bug. But PEBKAC, I just used slow card. This is R recording 1080p30 14bit RAW, continuous :) (with ~100MB/s write card)
As always, this is PoC, unstable/unusable - only code available for now.
