Protests are sweeping Iran & women are burning their hijabs after the death last week of Mahsa Amini, following her arrest by the “morality police”. Human rights groups say at least 8 have been killed. Last night, I planned to ask President Raisi about all this and much more. 1/7

We went from business attire, to casual Fridays, to casual everyday, to work from home in pajamas. It feels like Google meet backgrounds are the beginning of the next era.

Is remote work is next step into the Financialization of everything? Is work now even more a transactional exchange between employees and employer? Could the standardization of protocols (i.e. Zoom, Slack) make us all even more replaceable?

Interviewing is in essence fact finding. Its looking for the specific evidence that you are good at what you are telling me that you are good at.

Thus, start by clearly articulating what you are good at.
e.g. "I am a [add type] designer with a focus on [what you are good at]"

Then show me projects filled with examples of what you are good at and conclude with what you want to further develop.

A good test to see if your #design principles are of any use to shape the UX of a new feature. "could these principles apply to entire design team?" if the answer is YES make them more specific.

Portfolio feedback I keep giving to Junior #Designers. The headline shouldn't tell me what you did (e.g. "User Research") it should tell me why you did it (e.g. "Answering question X, Y, Z through User Research")

I might say something controversial. But the argument that I should care for any other conflict in the world as much as the current one falls flat for me. The reality is that is not humanly possible to care about all suffering equally. I believe that it’s only human to prioritize

I lived in Berlin for 5 years and worked with plenty of Ukrainians. Seeing Kyiv under siege is like seeing Berlin under siege. Same architecture and same people.
