5.30PM. Tools down for the week for my 9-5. Time to make progress on side projects. Will I be able to get an MVP ready by the end of the weekend?

I've been smashing Cursor after coming back from my holiday. So much so that I just upgraded plans to Pro . Hopefully I'll see some improved results🤞

Does anyone else ever wonder whether their motivation to build is driven more by wanting to escape their current job than by building something meaningful? But seeing how few people succeed it's made me appreciate that the grass isn't always greener.

Another React Native component added to tetra-ui and another component powered by Expo UI! This time it's a Menu component for both iOS and Android. ✅ Uses Native Components under the hood ✅ Consistent API and composition pattern for both platforms ✅ Supports submenus ✅ Supports labelled groups

I've been a cursor user for ~1.5 years and I've realised that I don't have a good grasp on the difference in quality and performance of different models. Is there a way to see which model cursor is using at a given time?

Airtags seem unnecessary until you wish you had them. My wife recently had her luggage lost by an Airline as we flew overseas for 30 days. It was lost for the entire trip. The first thing we did after buying a replacement luggage was buy airtags for both our bags.
My friend's private office / coworking in Lisbon got burglared at night They took his Apple Studio Display of about $4000, he even made a custom travel case for it which had an Airtag on it, the criminals were smart and packed it in his case and took it He had an Airtag on it so tracked it, he found it in a warehouse south of Lisbon He reported it to Portuguese police, and showed where it was with the Airtag, they said they couldn't do anything because it was inside a building and by law they could not enter private property to recover it If they can't then what is police even for?

We should judge ai models by the number of lines they generate to solve a problem. Models that produce fewer lines of code should be ranked higher because it's less likely to be slop and the code is likely to be more maintainable.

This chart is a good example of the explosion of software creation in the last year. Resend is growing exponentially but not at the cost of competitors who are still experiencing modest growth. There is just that much more software being developed 🤯
3 years ago, Resend didn't exist. Now, it's the most downloaded email SDK in the world.

so many complain about jira or confluence being bad products but tbh they are nothing in comparison to bitbucket. bitbucket is so far behind competitors and i bang my head against a wall every time i learn a client has chosen to use it.

Uniwind is working on supporting group-* tailwind classnames 🤯🤯 This will absolutely blow my mind if/when it is delivered and will have such a huge impact to styling on React Native

Nothing makes me appreciate my stack more than having to adopt tools mandated by a client. The latest struggles involve using AWS CodePipelines CDK BitBucket 🤮 I've spent days trying to get this shit working. It's literally an hour long task with Github Actions SST
