ALT during the morning, a Yoshi wakes and starts to yawn Yoshi is a genus of sabre-tooth cat named after Nikolai Spassov's (one of two coauthors that described the genus) cat of the same name from potentially across Late Miocene, Eurasia. it appeared similar to a small big cat of today, but had large canines that would've most likely been covered by lips when its mouth was closed

ALT a Tylosaurus rex has successfully taken down a very large Xiphactinus, two Niobrara attempt to take some scraps from the large marine reptile's catch Tylosaurus rex is a recently described species of Tylosaurus that was the largest marine reptile found to date. it's holotype is from the Early Campanian Texas, USA. Tylosaurus is famous for its lack of teeth at the very front of its snout creating a 'knob' of sorts, hence the name "knob lizard". the largest specimen is 14m long. Xiphactinus is a large predatory fish that looked like no other fish today with a thin and tall body, and a short stout head like a bulldog, the longest specimens are around 6m long Niobrara is a fish with very large dorsal and anal fins

ALT a Xianshou is awoken by the sudden flash of a camera, the small mammaliform hisses and bears its teeth from the cup of a large Weltrichia. some of the centripetal rays to the bottom left are damaged, most likely from when the small animal crawled into the central cup. Xianshou is a mammaliform (ancestors of mammals) from the Late Jurassic of Liaoning, China. it wouldve appeared similar to rodents but with different teeth and not visible ears as their ear structure was different to mammals. Xianshou and its relatives may have possessed a patagium (skin flap) between their arms and legs used for gliding like flying squirrels and sugar gliders, here i reconstruct it with one. Weltrichia is a form genus of williamsoniacaean (an extinct group of plants with uncertain relation to other plants, however, most consider them gymnosperms; relatives of cycads, pines, and Ginkgo) pollen cone (male organ), or 'flower' - though they are not angiosperms.

ALT two Argyrolagus scuffel in a clearing at night, an artificial light from behind the camera illuminates the fighting fuzzy foes Argyrolagus is a metatherian (mammal group which contains all mammals closer related to marsupials than placentals) of uncertain placement within the clade from the Early Pliocene of Patagonia, Argentina. they wouldve appeared similar to small hopping mammals but with a long snout, they also only possessed two toes on their feet
