We are saddened by the passing of ABCA Hall of Famer, past ABCA President, and longtime Board Member Bob Hannah.
The longest-tenured member in ABCA history, Hannah held 64 consecutive years of membership dating back to 1962. He leaves behind an extraordinary legacy as one of the winningest coaches in collegiate baseball history, leading the University of Delaware to more than 1,000 victories, 12 NCAA Regional appearances, and the program’s only College World Series appearance in 1970.
Hannah's impact on the game extended far beyond the field through his decades of service to the ABCA, including his role as President in 1988 and continued leadership within the Association.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends, former players, and the entire University of Delaware baseball community.
