This World Cup is proving that the gap between the so-called giants and everyone else isn’t as big as people think.

Nigeria last won the U-17 World Cup in 2015. That’s over a decade ago. Since then, we’ve gone from dominating youth football to struggling to qualify for major tournaments at senior level.
So NFF officials will watch this World Cup, see African teams competing fearlessly against the best, and still have the guts to pick an African team as favourites while Nigeria is at home?
