if the sui community understood what the team is actually shipping there would be less fud.
You probably haven’t spotted the hidden gem 💎 behind the future of payments privacy. Many people just saw Sui Confidential Transfers and thought ‘ok, cool feature’. Wrong. Look closely at what was open-sourced and you’ll notice a much bigger pattern: Confidential Payment Tunnels. Remember Bitcoin’s Lightning ⚡️? Now imagine locking undisclosed amounts and making payments completely off-chain, with privacy even against receiver, built in from the start. It’s a new paradigm. This could unlock millions of payments per second, gasfree pay your grocery store even when offline, power entirely new startup ideas, and become the default pay-rails for both humans and AI agents who will ❤️ this option! github.com/MystenLabs/confid…

You can't have consumer & institutional adoption at scale without privacy Confidential transfers are NOW LIVE on @SuiNetwork devnet go build
Confidential transfers are live in public beta on Sui Devnet. Transfer amounts and balances are private, with controlled visibility for compliance and auditability. What this means for finance workflows: 🧵

If you're gonna wash trade, it's better to do it after confidential transfers launch on Sui. It's coming soon, so be patient.
Seems like Bibarel has done a 11,211% pump. I guess the alpha is to start cornering the Bibarel market before the mainstream realizes what’s happening. Move over Charizard. Bibarel is in the house. 🦫📈

Everyone's talking about neoclouds. What if @SuiNetwork used Sui Dollar yield to buy compute, coordinate usage with Sui, bake in Walrus for storage, price reservations in Sui Dollar, rinse and repeat? This sounds better than putting the money into SUI buybacks and DeFi yield, at least for the next few years.

Kyla’s right. The story isn’t that Sui went down. The story is that validators recovered it three times in 48 hours with no funds lost. As a builder on Sui, that’s the signal I care about.
Sui went down three times in 48 hours this week. I'm not going to pretend that's nothing. But here's what the bears aren't saying : No funds lost Validators coordinated full recovery every time And the network hit a 2026 TPS high of 1,539 the same week. A gas bug is a software problem. Software problems get patched. Shit happens. What a team does next matters more.

Following last week’s outages related to the 1.72 release, the Sui Core Team has completed an investigation and incident review, detailing what happened and the steps taken by validators to restart the network.

Sui successfully advanced to epoch 1,144 just now, and the Random object is now functional. Been a busy few days for core team and validators, hope everyone can get some well-deserved rest now.

Btw, @WalrusProtocol plays an important role here as well. The oracle does not just publish “an earthquake happened” to Sui. It also anchors the raw JMA XML source report behind the attestation. Walrus gives us a deterministic content id for that XML, so anyone can fetch the report, recompute the blob id and SHA-256 hash, parse the JMA data, and verify it matches the on-chain seismic event. That makes the attestation much more useful: the on-chain event stays small, but the full source document remains independently inspectable. For seismic oracles, that matters. Downstream systems should not have to trust our parser blindly; they should be able to verify the original JMA report themselves.

Announcing another open source project from Imaji Labs! Living in Japan, we have to deal with earthquakes on a weekly basis. Most are small, but the constant risk makes it valuable to have a neutral, authenticated record of what happened, where it happened, how strong it was, and when it was reported. Today we open sourced jma-seismic-oracle. It's a Sui oracle that turns Japan Meteorological Agency earthquake reports into authenticated on-chain events, verified with Nautilus. Beyond the earthquake insurance case study we’re building, these attestations can trigger emergency workflows, infrastructure monitoring, regional risk systems, prediction market resolution, supply-chain contingencies, and any product that needs a tamper-evident seismic event on Sui. At Basecamp in Paris, @EvanWeb3 talked about Sui being a coordination layer. While coordination digital workflows is cool, I think there's something even cooler about coordinating physical infrastructure as well. We'll be exploring this area in the coming months with Sui-aware embedded devices, so stay tuned. Check out the repo below! github.com/imajilabs/jma-sei…
