Uncle Bayo really needs an editor. So "reckless users of social media" won't go scott free but criminals & terrorists raping women & abducting children can go scott free?πŸ€” We have energy for social media, but too busy for real criminals abi?🀑🀑 #NigeriaDecides2027
The police have also arrested this Nigerian who made an alarming post about Abuja’s security, spreading fear among citizens. By arresting him, the police have sent the clear message that reckless users of the social media won’t go Scot free.

Yet, the wife of the president, @SenRemiTinubu is doing "politics differently" by donating campaign cars.🀑🀑 #NigeriaDecides2027
Students were filmed intensively praying for the rescue of the kidnapped schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo state. It is an unfortunate turn of events that rather than focusing on academics, our school children have now turned into prayer warriors over man-made issues.✍️

"From Nigeria to the Mississippi Delta, Dr. Foluso Fakorede is an interventional cardiologist who performs a simple, life-changing job: opening clogged leg arteries so people keep their legs. Before he arrived, 1 in 5 Black residents in his Mississippi community lost a leg to Peripheral Artery Disease, a condition where plaque blocks blood flow. He slashed local amputation rates by 88% in four years. As CEO of Cardiovascular Solutions of Central Mississippi, he merges world-class training (Cornell, Cooper) with on-the-ground work. He helped launch the Congressional PAD Caucus and co-wrote the federal ARC Act to spread this approach nationwide. His legacy? Fewer people wheeling themselves into operating rooms." - Africa Giant

1. INEC didn't try to cover up.πŸ‘πŸ½ 2. Investigation is still in process but you can confidently say it's only one record that was accessed?🀨 3. The punishment for this official will be clear signalling to your staff & their paymasters. We wait. 😏 #NigeriaDecides2027
INDEPENDENT NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION PRESS STATEMENT RE: ALLEGED MISUSE OF AUTHORISED ACCESS CREDENTIALS AND UNAUTHORISED DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION FROM THE COMMISSION’S CONTINUOUS VOTER REGISTRATION (CVR) DATABASE The attention of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been drawn to allegations currently circulating on social media and in some sections of the media regarding the alleged unauthorised access to the Commission's Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) database and the subsequent publication of information on a candidate in the recent primaries of a political party in the Federal Capital Territory. The Commission takes this allegation seriously and has immediately commenced a thorough investigation to establish the facts surrounding the incident. As part of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise nationwide, authorised INEC Registration Officers were granted controlled access to specific components of the CVR system to enable them register new applicants, process requests for transfer of registration and update voter records where necessary. Such access is restricted to official duties only and is withdrawn at the conclusion of the exercise. The audit trail from the preliminary investigation has enabled the Commission to identify the user account through which the information was accessed. Accordingly, relevant personnel have been questioned, and all units connected with the incident are cooperating fully with the investigation. The Commission is also examining all technical, administrative and operational factors associated with the matter in order to establish individual responsibility and determine the circumstances surrounding the use of those credentials and identify any breach of internal access-control protocols before taking appropriate action against anyone involved. Preliminary findings from the Commission's audit trail so far, however, indicate that there was no external breach of the CVR database, no hacking incident, and no unauthorised external access to the Commission's ICT infrastructure. Rather, the information in question was accessed through valid user credentials assigned to personnel participating in the ongoing CVR exercise but released without authority. The incident under investigation relates to the retrieval of a specific voter record and does not indicate any compromise of the Commission's broader voter registration infrastructure or the personal data of over 90 million registered voters. The Commission wishes to state categorically that it takes the security, confidentiality and integrity of voter data with the utmost seriousness and remains committed to transparency, institutional integrity, and the protection of voters' personal information. Furthermore, the Department of State Services (DSS), on its own accord, has commenced an independent investigation into the matter. The Commission will continue to cooperate fully with all relevant security agencies and will not hesitate to refer any person found culpable for appropriate legal action. Members of the public and the media are therefore urged to disregard unfounded speculations while investigations remain ongoing. The Commission will continue to keep the public informed of its final findings and any measures taken in response to the incident in due course. Mohammed Kudu Haruna National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee (IVEC) 2nd June, 2026

Interesting.....
In an attempt to solve overcrowding in Paris prisons in 1719, France offered freedom to prisoners under the condition that they marry prostitutes and relocate with them to Louisiana, now in the United States of America. The newly married couples were then chained together and taken to the port of embarkation to Louisiana where they were offered land and provisions. #HistoryVille

In a democracy, grown "men" are congratulating Wike on successful primaries in TWO parties!!! 🀑🀑 One man, one party but this formal acknowledgment of Wike's role in multiple parties is such a joke! A reminder that our brand of democracy is quite abnormal! #NigeriaDecides2027

We're celebrating Eid Al Adha and with the support of government agencies, we've blocked one side of an expressway. Not foot traffic, not car traffic, human beings praying on the road - ALL LANES. Am I missing something?

Why is @inecnigeria making life difficult for itself?😏
Where are the new INEC Regulations and Guidelines for the conduct of elections? With the enactment of the 2026 Electoral Act, INEC is expected to issue new Regulations and Guidelines for the conduct of elections. We are just 25 days to #EkitiDecides2026, this crucial document is yet to be released. These Regulations and Guidelines will provide the detailed procedures for implementing key provisions of the new law, especially on electronic transmission of results, the protocol where communication failure occurs, results collation procedures, and other operational issues critical to election day administration. Timely issuance of these guidelines is essential for building public confidence in the electoral process. Political parties, observers, security agencies, and voters need certainty on the rules that will govern the election. It is important for @inecnigeria to release these Regulations and Guidelines as a matter of urgency to inspire public confidence and ensure adequate preparation by all stakeholders. Beyond timely release, INEC should invite inputs from stakeholders especially on new and potentially contentious provisions. This will no doubt deepen the legitimacy and acceptability of the regulations. Samson Itodo 26th May 2026
