Serious question for all my artist managers / TMs… if you know MONTHS in advance that your artist is playing one of the biggest festivals in the world (EDC LV, Coachella, etc), and you want media coverage…
Why in Gods name are SO many of you waiting to secure it at the LAST POSSIBLE minute? The day of the set? Hours before even?!
Good media, if you want it to be quality, needs proper setup, load in, coordination, set times, etc. especially with festivals as large as these. A proper multicam setup takes so much coordination & planning that many in the industry just seem to want to rush & undercut & bypass entirely, then turn around act frustrated when it’s not cinema quality. How they envisioned, when no direction was given and the whole process was rushed.
Like for real, maybe plan a little bit better if you want your artists set to be remembered for years to come? Not my fault I’m more aware of your artists performances & set times than you are 😂
