In late March, Starmer officially authorized British armed forces and authorities to stop, board, and seize sanctioned vessels belonging to the Russian shadow fleet within British waters (including the English Channel).
This marks the first concrete implementation of that announcementβoccurring roughly two and a half to three months later.
So, carry on.
In the early hours of this morning, I directed our Armed Forces to intercept a shadow fleet oil tanker attempting to pass through the English Channel.
This successful operation delivers yet another blow to Russia and reminds those fueling Putin's war in Ukraine that we will not let them hide.
I want to thank those involved, including our Armed Forces and law enforcement officers who keep this country safe 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Good results have been achieved by Ukrainian Warriors in applying long-range sanctions against key targets on Russian territory and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine - President Zelenskyy
βͺοΈ In Russia's Yaroslavl region, more than 700 kilometers from Ukraine's state border, the Security Service of Ukraine struck an oil facility that was important to Russia's strategic reserves.
βͺοΈ In Russia's Tula region, strikes targeted the Azot enterprise, which plays an important role in the production of explosives.
Flight restrictions were imposed at six Russian airports, and air raid alerts were declared in 28 regions of Russia since yesterday evening.
Strikes were also carried out against Russian military logistics in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
Drones reportedly struck an oil depot in Rybinsk, Russia's Yaroslavl region.
Local residents also reported strikes on the Azot chemical plant in Novomoskovsk, Tula region.

π Adaptive clothing for the Marines π
Friends, as we all understand, being in combat often means injuries, treatment, amputations, and rehabilitation for the Defenders πΊπ¦π₯Ί
We cannot leave them alone, even after theyβve left the front line. Support means caring for them at any time - especially during this incredibly difficult period when they have to literally and figuratively put themselves back together and find the strength to keep living.
Broken and shattered bodies mean a tough physical condition that we must help them get through with dignity and care.
For comfortable treatment, hospital stays, and rehabilitation, adaptive clothing is often essential. It makes self-care and medical procedures much easier.
Adaptive clothing is specially designed apparel that is sewn to order by volunteer organizations and caring people. To make it, we need fabric, fittings, and consumables.
Right now, we need to purchase materials and sew 100 sets of adaptive clothing for wounded Defenders who are serving or have served in combat as part of the 34th Marine Brigade in the Kherson area.
Approximate cost of materials: 40,000 UAH (~ $900)β¨
The sewing will be done by the volunteer organization βShΠ²Π΅ΠΉΠ½Π° ΡΠΎΡΠ°β (Sewing Company), to whom the materials will be sent.

I just spent a week in Ukraine visiting friends and attending a film festival.
Just opening this dumb app on the train back home.
I have seen and understood for a long time what any sane person who visits Ukraine sees and understands:
Ukrainians have lost a lot but they are not broken.
They are stronger, smarter, more organized and more determined in their hate of Russia and everything it represents.
No matter the Kremlin propaganda and the fools who believe and distribute it, Ukrainians will never give up.
Not even if aid stops (AND IT WON'T), Ukraine will never fall.
Russia's 3 day "special operation" launched in 2022 has lasted longer than the first world war and russians are falling like flies at the rate of 30.000 a month in a stupid war for Putin's ego, fighting over the same ruins they've fought over for over 4 years.
Russian supply lines are chocked.
Russian refineries 2000 KM from Ukraine are burning.
Russian soldiers are giving up or punching their own ticket.
It is good to be Ukraine's friend because it will emerge stronger from this war.
And Ukrainians are good people who will remember those who stood by them in their time of need.
Glory to Ukraine.
