This has taken many months of work preparation and I'm so proud of the work everyone with @3DAnatomyStudio has done to make this happen! It's a huge next step for us! Please share/retweet!
My name is Graham Platner and I’m running for US Senate to defeat Susan Collins and topple the oligarchy that’s destroying our country.
I’m a veteran, oysterman, and working class Mainer who’s seen this state become unlivable for working people. And that makes me deeply angry.

ALT Water's edge scene with two individuals of the extinct turtle Appalechemys. A dragonfly lights on the snout of one individual. A maniraptoran dinosaur observes from shore.
The Permian ray-finned fish #Brachydegma is long-known, but new data from CT scans gave paleo nerds a better idea of its affinities and suspensorium* anatomy this week, e.g. showing a joint b/w the articular and symplectic. #FossilFriday#SciNews
The giant filter-feeding fish Leedsichthys is named after a person, not the city, but WAS first found in England. New remains from Chile were published this week, along with several other Jurassic fishes: peerj.com/articles/13739/#SciArt#FossilFriday#OpenAccess
ALT Painting of Leedsichthys problematicus by Bob Nicholls, showing the enormous filter-feeding fish with its mouth open, presumably collecting plankton. It dwarfs an ichthyosaur shown for scale, of perhaps one eighth the length.
ALT Underwater scene featuring the newly described fish Qikiqtania alongside two individuals of the larger Tiktaalik, in a setting of horsetails and macroalgae. On shore various tree-like lycophytes are visible.
We're thrilled to share our new Twitter banner and tagline! We're pursuing so many different projects currently, it was a challenge coming up with a short phrase that would capture it all. (1/3)

Meet Strophodus rebecae, a new shark from the Cretaceous of Colombia. Although so far only teeth have been found, they're distinctive enough to place in the extinct family †Hybodontidae. peerj.com/articles/13496/#SciNews#FossilFriday 🎨 by Jorge Blanco
ALT Illustration by Jorge Blanco of the fossil shark Strophodus rebecae as it might have appeared in life, along with other organisms from the same environment, including a side-necked turtle, ammonites, a crab, and a plesiosaur.
To #StereoMorph users! The latest version of StereoMorph (v1.6.5) has a bug. It causes an error when reading & writing shape data. I've fixed the bug and updated GitHub (github.com/aaronolsen/Stereo…). I'll send the fixed version (v1.6.6) to CRAN today! #RStats (1/4)
Since I'm not currently supported by grants I'm very limited in how much time I can spend on it, including fixing bugs, helping users who send me questions, etc. Many thanks to all the users who have been so patient and understanding! (4/4)
