Really hoping my 2018 TV can last as long as possible. The enshittification really hit smart TVs hard the last few years… 😢
Tried using my dad’s TV over xmas and it’s been updated to have “AI” sound and image processing as well as an AI chat bot 🤮

Hot take or just a take? Quality of Apple hardware has gone up over time, a significant jump with Apple Silicon.
Conversely Apple software seems to be declining 😔
Just had to delete and re-add my Google account to MacOS because calendar failed to sync. Not the first time!

2.5 years into the AI craze, and I continue to firmly believe that if your company wasn’t already interesting/succeeding without AI, then doing “whatever plus AI” isn’t going to save you. For the few that seem this way (eg Cursor), I think their moat is a lot weaker than it seems.
You have to play the game and the game is AI, but I don’t think it’s a defensible foundational capability. Might play out as an excellent land and grab strategy to buy you time to fill out the meat though.

Since I left Cisco in 2018, I have not seen a meeting room video system which comes remotely close in terms of UX and quality.
I'm on a call right now where somebody has a Zoom room and it's bloody awful. It's impressive they found a microphone that shitty in 2025.

So the @monzo app is threatening to charge me fees and reduce my limits for not using the account enough.
Monzo has been my only account with salary all bills going there for many years.
What makes it worse is support just ignored me and closed the chat after 2 days 🥲🙃

I've used Monzo for 7 years and never really had any issues. Even contacted support a couple times and they were great.
But this experience has been really terrible; what the heck happened !?
