Security sources have dismissed TTP claims of a "missile strike" on the Jhangi Police Post in Taunsa Sharif as pure propaganda.
According to sources, the attack was a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) attack in which a vehicle loaded with explosives was detonated at the main gate of the police post.
Sources termed the TTP's claim of using a "missile" as rubbish.

Since Pakistan announced its deportation drive on 15 Sep 2023, about 2.47 million Afghans have returned to Afghanistan from Pakistan as of 6 June 2026, as per UNHCR-IOM. Of these, 540,490 (22%) returned in 2026 alone. The majority of returnees (64%) were undocumented.

Deceased businessman/senator Taj Afridi led the Al-Haj Group, Pakistan’s largest trucking contractor, responsible for transporting fuel and cargo to NATO forces in Afghanistan. In 2008, his brother, Shaukat Afridi, was abducted for ransom by Lashkar-e-Jhangvi militants in Karachi and later killed.

What a tragedy! He was the highest tax-paying senator during his tenure. According to a report published in Dawn, Taj Muhammad Afridi from the tribal areas paid the highest income tax, amounting to Rs 41.712 million in the 2015 tax year

Al-Qaeda’s official media outlet has released footage purportedly showing Hamza bin Laden alongside former leader Ayman al-Zawahiri. The footage appears in a seven-minute poetry-based video produced by Al-Sahab as a tribute to Al-Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden.
Pro-Al-Qaeda channels on various social media platforms have identified the young man in the footage as Hamza bin Laden. If confirmed, this would be the first publicly available image of him since his move from Iran to Waziristan in 2010 and his subsequent rise to a prominent position within Al-Qaeda’s leadership.
