I'm listening to a podcast. Because of course I am. And they are frowning on "listeners" becoming "guests."
Here's the thing: I have listeners as guests all the time. It's the job of Host Amber to ensure they feel supported, safe, and heard. Editor Amber helps the published conversation make sense and have flow. Producer Amber makes sure guests sound as good as possible.
That's what it is to host a podcast. Some podcasters may think of their shows as their personal sandbox. But first and foremost, podcasting should be about a two-way conversation. It should be about community.
