The musical bond between John McLaughlin and Indian ghatam virtuoso Vikku Vinayakram traces back to the early 1970s, when they came together to create the path-breaking fusion group Shakti. On December 14, at the Friends Forever concert at NCPA in Mumbai marking the first death anniversary of Ustaad Zakir Hussain, the two legends were reunited.
