On the day America celebrated the IPO of its biggest space company, Britain found out its government is banning underfloor heating. The decline of our country is not inevitable, it is the choice of the rotten political class.

Coda: future incidents will simply be removed from social media so the approved narrative can circulate.

Time and again we have seen these single incidents
Politicians who fanned these flames should hang their heads in shame. Time and again we've seen this story play out. Single incidents used to fuel a far right narrative - and communities across the nation paying the price.

Hinkley Point C might be delayed again. Why? Because Natural England say the £700 million spent on fish protection at Britain's next nuclear power station is not enough. We can't go on like this.

I hope Hampshire Police and the CPS have a good explanation as to why Digwa’s brother and father have not yet been charged. His mother is being sentenced soon for removing the murder weapon from the crime scene. If his brother and father knew Henry had been stabbed, are they not accessories too? The brother called 999 to falsely report Henry for racially attacking the murderer. The father physically detained a dying Henry until the police arrived. None of them informed the police that Henry had been stabbed. All watched him die, handcuffed, on the ground.

'His murderer was afforded decency. He was believed' Henry Nowak's father says the 'contrast' in the police's treatment of his son and his murderer is 'unbearable' in a statement after Nowak's killer was sentenced to 21 years in prison.

Sorry isn’t good enough. We need to see the body-worn footage and these officers need to face consequences. The treatment of this murdered student, in his dying moments, is a national scandal.

This was a long-foreseen disaster. The EU has chosen to implement a system it is not capable of implementing.
Gran Canaria passport control/immigration this weekend for those who don’t live in the EU. This is not about Brexit per se although you will find many who blame it. There are simply many non-Schengen (mainly non-EU) citizens arriving at the same time. Especially given the €395 million invested that has resulted in hundreds of machines not even working. The EU should suspend this system for the summer otherwise many nationalities will face longer and longer queues. Greece has already abandoned it. Others need to follow.

Some of this is a selection effect - certain British tourist sites are insanely popular with Indians. They love Durdle Door and Cheddar Gorge in particular idk why Sort of obligatory photo destination tourism like the leaning tower of Pisa I think
>entire country comes along >entire country is India

x.com/sophiemeaden/status/20… Ahhh it’s because of Bollywood

I’m originally from South Dorset. Although mass immigration didn’t become noticeable outside of Bournemouth until the Boris Wave, we got a taste of what was to come during the summer holidays since 2016/7. A Bollywood film, Housefull 3, was produced and released around this time. Apparently the protagonist in the film swims through the arch to gain “eternal life.” Since then, Durdle Door has experienced a temporary Indian invasion every summer. Locals avoid Durdle Door like the plague and mainly during this period of the year. This photo below was taken pre invasion in the summer when it was fairly quiet in the evenings there. Those were the days. We don’t have to live like this. Remigration NOW.

Being an MP must be pretty stressful for neurotic people. On the right people tend to put themselves forward if they are confident (eg David Cameron’s “I think I’d be good at it”) But on the left lots of mentally unsuitable people seem to feel this compulsion to enter politics
Following my doctor’s advice, I am taking some time away from work for health reasons. My office will be functioning as usual and my staff are there to support all my constituents who need help, so please don't hesitate to get in touch. See my full statement below.

The population of central Manchester was under 500 in 1990. It is now nearly 100,000. Utter drivel.
That’s exactly what has happened. Lots of luxury flats have been built in central Manchester. So there are more richer people living there. Meanwhile poorer people have been forced to outer areas.

Southwark’s Planning Chair opposed a 860 home development because locals couldn’t afford the new homes. It’s a common misconception. So I’ve decided to explain the evidence showing how luxury flats can make housing more affordable on the Old Kent Road.

Replying to @Sam_Dumitriu
This was only 12% affordable housing. The average price for the market sale homes would have been £710k. In a borough where the average household income is £44k. Those homes would have done nothing to meet local needs.

Ultimately they just believe unemployed people deserve to have better housing than you
Daily reminder that YIMBYism is about the self-interest of well paid graduates, not solving the housing crisis for those stuck on waiting lists. Your value isn't based on your wage. Labour must reject this grotesque social cleansing nonsense and build 000s of council homes.
