In 2020, I decided that I would opt out of systems where I as a #LGTBQ #AsianAmerican inherently and systemically am disadvantaged. It's time I reward myself instead of fighting an impossible fight where statistically, I will never gain from or be acknowledged for my work.

I invested in materials for this season based on my steady trajectory of growth, which I believe now may be disrupted by not having the Star Seller badge. I obviously can't prove it and it's still early, but I am definitely worried that I'll be taking a hit this season.

I never knew the pain that comes with silence (especially friends) until the last few weeks. Now when I see another Asian calling out racism and microaggressions, I DM them to say that they are seen and that I share their frustrations. #StopAAPIHate #StopAsianHateCrimes

#AsianAmericans are so often faced with literal silence when we speak out against racism. Bystanders, watching. Silence tells me that my experiences are too foreign to be relatable, and too foreign to deserve your empathy and outrage. #SilenceIsNotAnOption

Race and identity are not inherently "political," and those who "don't get into politics" are not exempt from addressing and acknowledging racism. In fact, it is "politics" that is needed to address the silence. #StopAsianHate #StopAsianHateCrimes #StopAPIHate
