Prohibition on Mayonnaise made from raw eggs The prohibition applies to Mayonnaise being prepared by FBOs for commercial use, using raw eggs without any pasteurisation. Task force team has conducted inspections at the below mentioned warehouse on 29.10.2024. 𝗭𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝘆𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗜𝗗𝗔, 𝗞𝘂𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 * Button Mushrooms (18kg) were found with future date of packing i.e., 30.10.2024 at the said premises. * FBO found to be operating with State License and the license is displayed at the premises. * Premises found open directly to the outside environment without proper insect proof screen. * Houseflies were observed inside the premises. * Few of the food handlers were found without haircaps and aprons. * Medical Fitness certificates for food handlers and Pest control records for the premises were available with the FBO. @fssaiindia @MoHFW_Telangana

Further the food handlers were sensitized on hygiene and sanitary requirements to avoid contamination and cases will be filed against establishments with serious violations.

A show cause notice is being issued to the said managements and further action will be taken in due course.

Food safety officers across the state have conducted inspections in hospital canteens (both govt. and private hospitals) on 20.08.2024. A total of 15 canteens - 11 in government hospitals and 4 in private hospitals were inspected. Certain hygiene related violations were observed in the canteens with respect to the FSS Act, 2006. Notices are being issued to the canteens with minor violations, along with due guidance in following the FSS Rules and Regulations 2011. All FBOs, who are operating canteens in medical facilities, are hereby instructed to ensure strict adherence to FSS Rules and Regulations, with enhanced focus on hygiene norms as per Schedule 4 requirements. Inspections will be scaled up in the coming days to ensure clean and hygienic food availability in medical facilities across the state. Telangana Residential Jr. College (Musheerabad) located at Moulali 7. Telangana Residential School (Sanath Nagar) located at Moulali 8. Telangana Minorities Residential School, Golkonda 9. Telangana Social Welfare School and College, Gowlidoddi 10. Telangana Minorities Residential School (Boys), Bahadurpura 11. Telangana Minorities Residential School (Girls), Bahadurpura 12. Telangana Minorities Residential School, Asif Nagar. The inspections covered the aspects of maintenance of hygiene and sanitation in the kitchen, use of raw materials for cooking, maintenance of storage areas and the conditions of drinking water tanks and violations were brought to the notice of the managements and notices will be issued to the managements for rectifying the defects so as to avoid the incidents of food poisonings and for providing safe and quality food to the children. Further the special drive will continue to cover the residential schools, colleges and hostels, both government and private in GHMC to ensure that safe food is provided by the managements
