Honoring America’s Rededication: A Grateful Heart from Papua New Guinea
My dear American friends,
From the warm shores and rugged mountains of Papua New Guinea, I write with a heart overflowing with respect and quiet emotion. My name is Allan, a Papua New Guinean who grew up in a Christian home, where faith in God was woven into daily life even if my own walk has been one of simple belief rather than deep devotion.
I believe in God, and I have always looked to America with admiration. Today, I want to honor something truly beautiful that is happening in your great nation.
Under the leadership of President Donald J. Trump and his administration, America is choosing to rededicate herself to God. This decision touches me deeply, even from across the Pacific. It feels like a homecoming - a nation remembering its roots and turning its heart back toward the One who guided its remarkable journey from the very beginning.
I have studied your story with wonder, walking through the pages of your history as an outsider who stands in awe.
It began in the freezing winters of 1776, when your Founding Fathers, facing impossible odds, placed their trust in Divine Providence.
George Washington, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and the others knelt before the Almighty. They declared that all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights. They signed the Declaration of Independence, pledging their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor, believing God would birth a new kind of nation.
Through the Revolutionary War, God sustained you. Then came the painful birth pangs of growth - westward expansion, the drafting of a Constitution that still stands as a marvel, and the soul-testing fires of the Civil War, where brother fought brother yet the nation emerged stronger, with liberty extended more fully.
Abraham Lincoln called upon God in those dark days, and the Union was preserved.
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He chose for His inheritance.”
(Psalm 33:12)
From those early struggles, America rose with astonishing speed. The Industrial Revolution brought factories, railroads, and inventions that changed the world. Your people - immigrants and natives alike - built cities that touched the sky.
Then, in the 20th century, when tyranny threatened the globe, America answered the call. In two World Wars, your brave soldiers crossed oceans, stormed beaches like Normandy, and helped defeat evil empires. You did not conquer - you liberated.
After the wars, you poured out your treasure through the Marshall Plan to rebuild a shattered Europe and Japan, showing a generosity rarely seen in history.
The decades that followed were marked by remarkable achievements. You put men on the moon, conquered diseases with vaccines, and created technologies that now connect the world. Your farmers became the breadbasket of nations. Your universities drew the brightest minds.
Through the Civil Rights movement, you confronted old injustices and moved closer to the ideal that all are created equal.
Even in times of economic trials, natural disasters, and cultural shifts, a resilient faith and innovative spirit carried you forward.
What moves me most personally is how, throughout this history, American missionaries left the comfort of your shores and came to places like Papua New Guinea.
They brought the message of God’s love, along with schools, hospitals, and compassion that helped transform communities. I grew up hearing those stories and witnessing the sacrifices first hand.
Your nation did not keep its blessings to itself - it shared them. That generosity, rooted in faith, left a lasting mark on my country and countless others.
Through every chapter - times of triumph and times of testing - God’s hand has been evident in America’s story.
You overcame wars, economic hardships, and deep divisions because a foundation of faith provided strength when it was needed most.
“If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
(2 Chronicles 7:14)
Now, this rededication under President Trump feels like a powerful and hopeful step. It is a moment when leaders and citizens together are saying: We want God at the center again.
Not as a political slogan, but as a sincere return to the values and faith that made America a shining example.
I honor this decision with sincere admiration. From my perspective as someone outside your borders, it shows strength and humility - the willingness to acknowledge that true greatness comes from above. When a nation rededicates itself to God, it opens the door to healing, unity, and fresh prosperity.
Families find renewed strength, innovation flourishes with purpose, and a sense of shared destiny returns.
“The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.”
(Proverbs 10:22)
As a Papua New Guinean who believes in God, I see this rededication as something that will not only bless America but ripple outward to touch the world once more.
Your renewed strength and moral clarity give hope to smaller nations like mine. It reminds us all that God is faithful to those who remember Him.
America, I celebrate this moment with you. May this rededication bring the peace, prosperity, and unity you so richly deserve. May God continue to watch over your land, your people, and your future.
With deep respect, gratitude, and heartfelt emotion,
Allan from Papua New Guinea
“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory...”
(Ephesians 3:20-21)
One nation under God - may this rededication mark the beginning of America’s brightest chapter yet.
