Implemented across Musanze, Karongi, Nyanza, Nyaruguru, and Gisagara districts, the IFS-Kungahara Project aims to boost food production, reduce post-harvest losses, and increase income generation through improved market access.
Building on the achievements of the IFS-Kungahara Project, ActionAid Rwanda and partners will continue strengthening linkages between farmers’ cooperatives and financial institutions to ensure sustainable access to affordable finance.
Today, @actionaidrwanda convened the Project Steering Committee Meeting for the @EU-funded “Improving Food Security and Boosting Farm Income for Women Smallholder Farmers in Rwanda (IFS: Kungahara Project)” in Kigali.
Today, @actionaidrwanda , in partnership with @CladhoRwa , held the closure event for the “Strengthening Youth-Led Organizations to Advocate for Enhanced Budget Accountability in Rwanda” project, funded by the European Union. @ActionAid
The event brought together representatives from @RwandaFinance , @RwandaLocalGov , the National Youth Council (NYC), youth-led organizations, and other stakeholders.
Implemented across all 30 districts since 2023, the project empowered young people to actively engage in planning, budgeting, and accountability processes at both district and national levels, advancing inclusive governance, transparency, and citizen participation in Rwanda.
@actionaidrwanda and @CladhoRwa , under the EU-supported project, successfully convened a consultative meeting with the Governance and Decentralization Sector Working Group technical team on youth engagement in governance and planning.
To identify gaps and agree on practical actions to strengthen inclusive youth participation in public finance management and budget processes at both national and district levels.

Today, 25th May 2026, we kicked off the Annual Review and Planning Meeting for the Resilient Communities and Social Justice Movements in the Great Lakes Region project in Dar es Salaam, bringing together @actionaidrwanda, @ActionaidTz, and @ActionAidDRC .
The session reflected on the project’s achievements, progress made, lessons learned, and implementation challenges in advancing climate resilience, food security, and the empowerment of women and youth across the region @Actionaid
