Oh, I do like to be… about one mile inland! Another UCL PN tick at @skegnesstownfc, who take on @AshbyIvanhoe_FC in a mid-table clash. In fact it’s my ever trip to the East Mids coast today, and what a day! Been absolutely superb on the front with plenty sun and no wind.

HT @skegnesstownfc 0 @AshbyIvanhoe_FC 2 - An early goal for the visitors from a soft penalty, the lead doubled not long after, but it’s a lead well deserved. No real attacking threat from Skeggy until the 43rd minute, with no outballs and Ashby mopping up almost all possession.

FT @wombwelltownfc 2 @NostellMWFC 0 - a comfortable half for the hosts. The home no.7 threatened with his long throws in the first half, and they duly converted two early doors in the second. Tommy Tonks, eat your heart out. Nostell couldn’t trouble them in response.

FT @Dunkirk_FC 2 @GedlingMWFC 2 - great half. Perfect start for the hosts, no.7 had all the time in the world to finish, but Gedling went back ahead with a strong header from a corner. Dunkirk kept battling, a last minute winner from who else but Kieran bloody Wells 😂 Quality!

A couple from Saturday, @ThackleyAFC winning 4-0 away at league leaders @golcarunited. The visitors deserved all their goals, and Golcar’s real disappointment will be that they couldn’t convert any of their many chances in the second half, Thackley with 3 unanswered goals.

Got my car back from the garage, and have successfully made it up the A46 to @NewarkTownFC who take on @LincolnUnited, both sides going well in the table. First time here in a couple of years, and it’s looking better for the new YMCA building and stands. Still cold, mind!

Thought I’d never escape the rush hour roads in Notts, but here’s another ground I’ve been wanting to tick off for a while. It’s a local derby in the UCL1 for @StaveleyMWFC vs @claycrosstownfc - really impressed with the set up here.

HT @StaveleyMWFC 1 @claycrosstownfc 1 - an attritional half for the hosts who struggled to control the ball or hit the target. Clay Cross played some great incisive football that led to the opener before the half, but Staveley found time to equalise from their own slick move.

FT @StaveleyMWFC 1 @claycrosstownfc 3 - Can’t begrudge Clay Cross the win here. Think they deserved to edge it with their second with about 20 mins to go. Excitement in added time when Staveley were denied a penalty, only for the visitors to go down the other end and seal it.

Bonus game, on a whim. @PanthersIHC beat @DundeeStars 3 to 2. Scrappy game, but that’s four in a row for Panthers, and I think quite possibly the first non-OT win I’ve seen from them! Maybe I’m not that bad of an omen, after all.
